One of my patients gave me a book to give to my daughter after a conversation about accumulating things. It was a children's book called "The Gift of Nothing" by Patrick McDonnell.
We (me included) can easily get caught up in the pressure to consume things we don't need- toys, media, ideas, things. Especially during the holidays where marketers are diligently pulling on our heart strings. These "things" take up space in the home and in the mind and distract us from the things that are important - relationships and time.
This is my gift to you...nothing. Nothing that needs to be stored, nothing that needs to be returned and nothing that takes up your precious time. Time is one of the best gifts to give.
My business is set up to save everyone time, including myself. We welcome walk-ins. We don't inconvenience people with long treatment plans. We try to make getting out of back pain a stress-free experience. We keep our fees affordable with or without insurance.
Now that my shameless business plug is over, I would like to offer a good read for the New Year - Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Nothing by Greg McKeown. If you liked my message above you will like the book.
